nezjišťoval jsi jak to Michael dělá že dozrává ve francii když se skotska může vyvézt jen flašky? to doveze flašky a zase je přelejvá do sudů, nebo to nějak obchází? celkem by mne to zajímalo a na webu sem to nějak zatím nenašel...

Níže o tom více. Jinak on to už přiznává na etiketě, kde není nikde uvedení "Scotch whisky" anebo jméno palírny.

Because of the Scotch Whisky Association's strict rules about single malt classification and labelling, Couvreur has always had a difficult time calling itself what it is: Scottish single malt whisky (or sometimes blended single malt whisky) aged in France. Today, many of the labels simply say "malt whisky" without any other designation. While the industry has sought to protect itself (and consumers) from imitators and frauds looking to capitalize on Scotch whisky's reputation, Couvreur is not a threat.

na FCB jsem se přidal do skupiny Michel Couvreur ale sou tam samí žabožtouti, tak zkusím něco zjistit ;)

no sudy plné whisky se ze skotska vozit nesmí...musíš je stočit do flašek a pak vyvézt a sud si můžeš vzít sebou :D

Pravda pravda, mě šlo o to značení Scotch.

Pak tedy ve Scotch whisky regulations píšou toto:

It is permitted to continue to export Scotch Whisky in bulk using inert containers such

as appropriate plastic drums or steel containers.

No a tím, že se MC prezentuje spíš jako "finishing house" než "independent bottler", tak si asi nechá dovézt new make stočený v nerezi a pak to plní do svých sudů. Takto bych to teda dělal asi já.

I když možná rychleji píšu než myslím....v tom samém dokumentů je pak toto:

Movement from Scotland to another country

7.—(1) A person must not move any of the following categories of Scotch Whisky from

Scotland to another country in a wooden cask or other wooden holder—

(a) Single Grain Scotch Whisky;

(b) Blended Malt Scotch Whisky;

(c) Blended Grain Scotch Whisky; or

(d) Blended Scotch Whisky.

(2) During the period until (and including) 22nd November 2012, a person must not move any

Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Scotland to another country in a wooden cask or other wooden

holder.

(3) On and after 23rd November 2012 a person must not move any Single Malt Scotch Whisky

from Scotland to another country except in a bottle (made of any inert material) that is labelled for

retail sale.

(4) For the purposes of this regulation a person is regarded as having moved Scotch Whisky

from Scotland to another country if they—

(a) physically move the whisky from Scotland to another country; or

(b) arrange (whether directly or through a third party) for another person to physically move

the whisky from Scotland to another country.

(5) In this regulation “retail sale” means any sale except a sale for use or resale in the course of a

trade or business.

Ale pořád je všude uvedeno Scotch Whisky, nevím jestli se to vztahuje i na new make, anebo na něco, co nemá ambice být Scotch Whisky.

Když někdo budete vědět víc, dejte vědět. Taky mě to zajímá.

A není to třeba tak, že nesmíš vyvézt skotskou whisky a lahvovat či dozrávat jinde, ale whisky (neříkat tomu skotská) můžeš? Tedy můžeš sud vyvézt, ale už to není scotch whisky (a nejspíš nesmíš tedy ani použít název palírny, apod.). Jen mě to tak napadlo, nevím, jak ta pravidla jsou.

Nebo to může koupit jako new make, to taky není whisky.

ne, whisky po 3 letech můžeš botlovat jen ve skotsku...možná i když už je v sudu, ale to nevím jistě.

jinak z Michel Couvreur potvrdili že ze skotska odváží new make v tancích a pak si to dají do sudu sami...zajímavé :)
